Couch Talk is run by HireThomas, Inc. ("we"). This page explains what we collect when you use couchtalkapp.com and what we do with it.
What you type in. Your first name, your partner's first name and your answers. Your partner can see your answer to a question only after they've answered it too.
A device key. When you create or join a space, your browser stores a random key so you stay signed in. There's no email or password.
Where you came from. If you arrive from an ad or a link with tracking tags (like utm_source), we save those tags with your space so we can tell which ads work.
Payments. If you buy Premium, Stripe handles the payment. We receive your email, the subscription status and a Stripe customer ID. We never see or store your card number.
Ad measurement. We may use advertising pixels (such as Meta's) on our pages to count visits, sign-ups and purchases that came from our ads. Your answers and names are never sent to them.
We use this information to run the app, process payments, answer support emails and understand which ads bring people in. We don't sell your data and we don't read your answers except when you ask us to help with a problem.
Netlify hosts the site and stores your space. Stripe handles payments. Meta may receive ad measurement events as described above. They process data on our behalf under their own terms.
Your space stays until you delete it. Tap Settings, then Delete our space, and everything in it (names and every answer, for both of you) is erased. Payment records are kept by Stripe as the law requires.
You can delete your space at any time from Settings. To ask what we hold about you, or to have it corrected or deleted, email hello@couchtalkapp.com.
Couch Talk is meant for adults. Don't use it if you're under 18.
